Whilst focusing on the “4th R,” a policy relating to the “rehabilitation” of animals, in section 6, the article predominantly explores how the animal welfare organisation People For Animals has designed initiatives to rehabilitate “laboratory animals” and provides a specific example of a case of dogs who have been “rehabilitated in individual homes.”[1]
The CPCSEA in India” which provides similar information regarding organisations such as The Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) which People For Animals often works in close association with. [2]
I intend to use the information in this article in the “Challenges” section of my article as it provides an in-depth recount of the events that lead to the People For Animals site being shut down temporarily and provides an insight into the difficulties that arise when dealing with ethical issues concerning animal rights and welfare. [3]
