Ancients Theory

An "Ancients Theory" is a category not a unified theory. The classification includes any history, story, or other media that proposes a race of more-or-less advanced humans that existed long before recorded history and are the source of mythological similarities in various cultures that significantly predate the interactions between those cultures.

From the Hebrews, Celts, and Greeks to Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, and Mass Effect human cultural expressions of mythology continue to espouse that an ancient progenitor race existed prior to known human history.

Classical explicit appeals to an Ancients Theory:

The Bible: Genesis (two creations) The Bible: Pre-Flood The Bible: The Nephelim Gilgamesh Greek: Hyperborea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperborea Greek: Hesiod: Five Ages of Man Greek: Plato: Atlantis

Classical agreements in myth that imply an Ancients Theory:

Flood myths One man a father of all people
