About me

[edit]

I am a UK-based contributor with professional experience in heritage, museums, and historic properties.

Professional background

[edit]

I joined Port Lympne Wild Animal Park on 3 January 2010, working as Sales Manager with responsibility for the Mansion and Gardens, animal experience bookings, and the Livingstone Lodge tented accommodation.

Prior to this, I worked in the cultural heritage sector for over six years, including roles at the Imperial War Museum, the National Gallery, and English Heritage.

Research and editorial interests

[edit]

My areas of interest include twentieth-century heritage, historic houses, and the work of Philip Sassoon, both during his time at the National Gallery and as First Commissioner of Works. I am interested in improving the encyclopaedic coverage of Sassoon and the historical context of Port Lympne Mansion, where my office was formerly based.

Since January 2025, I have been working at Solton Manor, previously known as Soulton Manor, a historic house whose documented history I am researching to improve encyclopaedic coverage and for my own personal interest.
