Leafy Sea Dragon

[edit]

It is found along the southern and western coasts of Australia. The name is gotten from the appearance which has long leafy bulges sticking out from all over the body. These bulges are not used for impulse but they serve only as camouflage. The leafy seadragon thrusts itself by using a pectoral fin on the ridge of its neck and a dorsal fin on its back closer to the tail end. These small fins are almost invisible to see as they wobble firmly to move themselves calmly through the water while mimicking a piece of floating seaweed.
