Complete your article evaluation below. Here are the key aspects to consider: Lead sectionA good lead section defines the topic and provides a concise overview. A reader who just wants to identify the topic can read the first sentence. A reader who wants a very brief overview of the most important things about it can read the first paragraph. A reader who wants a quick overview can read the whole lead section.
ContentA good Wikipedia article should cover all the important aspects of a topic, without putting too much weight on one part while neglecting another.
Tone and BalanceWikipedia articles should be written from a neutral point of view; if there are substantial differences of interpretation or controversies among published, reliable sources, those views should be described as fairly as possible.
Sources and ReferencesA Wikipedia article should be based on the best sources available for the topic at hand. When possible, this means academic and peer-reviewed publications or scholarly books.

Which article are you evaluating?
[edit]Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?
[edit](Briefly explain why you chose it, why it matters, and what your preliminary impression of it was.)
I chose this article because I believe that candle wicks are aspects of candles that are not thought about. When the word "candle" is said, most people think of the scent instead of the candle wick. Candle wicks matter as they are the reasoning for the candle to burn. It is important to know how candles work and what makes them work the way they do. My first impression of this article is that it seems strong and informative as there is information on how a candle wick works, different wick types, stiffeners, and pretreatments of wicks.

This article gets straight to the point by defining what a candle wick is and what is it used for. In the lead, the ideas of what the rest of the article are stated, but not summarized. I feel like for a good article, the ideas will be summarized so that it the readers know what is coming up later in the article. The content of the article is relevant to the subject, however I wish there was more information on how the candle wick works and what goes through the process. The article is neutral and does not show any bias when it comes to the information. The information in the article is from websites that seem reliable. This article is well written and easy to read and pictures are included to emphasize the writing so that you can see what is being talked about.
