CIRCUITHEAD
An Alternative Rock group located in the heart of Minnesota. Starting out in the days of young in 2003. Three boys, Adam Bares (14 yrs,) Mario R. Curro (14 yrs) and Rich Salsbury (13 yrs). Adam one day asked Mario if Rich and himself could come over to try and work on making some music together. It went alright for a few weeks. Rich had introduce his best friend of the time Rob Happe. Who played Bass with Rich for fun before the three met. Adam soon later left leaving the group of three once again. They started with the name Counting Change. They played a battle of the bands at Riverview Baptist Church in West St. Paul. They found a vocalist at that time, Cameron Klockeman. He joined and then Counting Change changed their name to The Broken Morning which was a name Cameron came to. Cameron split due to not being able to make it to practice as he lived a distance from us. Two years passed and the band went on a break when Mario was out of state for work. Upon Mario's return The Broken Morning was just Rich and Mario. The two of them stuck together and just created music with just themselves. Rich being the Vocalist/Guitarist was able to write the lyrics, guitar(s) and bass lines for the songs they created togetehr while Mario covered the drum tracks. Starting out the two of them covered alot of songs from basic punk/rock bands. Such as Green Day, The Used. As time went on they became better musicians and song writers. They covered more advanced music. Such as Lostprophets, Metallica and Bullet For My Valentine. They finally came around to asking a friend of the guitarists younger brother Chris Salsbury to join the band and become the missing link. Zac Schintz being a massive musician and music fiend he joined the band completeing the circle. The group went thru a name change phase. They settled on the name Skelter Sky which was a name suggested from the cousin of Mario's ex-girlfriend who lived in Taiwan. The name lasted a few weeks and upon the sight of Rich's acoustic project that he named Circuithead. Mario asked Rich to make that the new band name for their stuff with Zac. The name stuck with the three. They played together as Circuithead for two years before bringing highschool friend Zach Sommer who learned guitar earlier in time into the band. He became the rhythm guitarist. So the group was now a four piece. The group played shows at venues such as The Garage, Bar Fly, The Dinkytowner, Varsity Theater, backyards of friends and families.
Shortly after a recording session for the song Runaway in 2009, Mario R. Curro had to take his leave from Circuithead which left Chris Salsbury to fill the spot. Being the first time Rich and Mario were in seperate groups.
