The Khanate of Kha is state that has no international recognition and is often considered to be an illegitimate government. It claims the entire territories of the United States state of Arizona, all of the claimed territories of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including the Ḥalāyib Triangle. Despite this, the Kha Khanate controls no land and is often perceived solely as a group of Americans and Egyptians that glorify a letter of the Arabic alphabet.

Government

[edit]

The Kha Khanate government is a unitary executive monarchy and is dictated by the Constitution of the Khanate of Kha. The constitution states that the Khan, the head of state and government, is to have the most power. It goes on to claim that the Kha Khanate is an anocratic oligarchic authoritarian regime. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press is documented in the constitution as nonexistent although freedom of religion is guaranteed. Members of the House of Khans known as Lesser Khans are directly appointed by the Khan to represent their regions. Lesser Khans are to serve until they resign, die, or are deposed. To depose a Lesser Khan would require the approval of the government, which is made of the Khan and Lesser Khans. Each Lesser Khan has one vote in the government. Two-thirds of the entire Lesser Khans' votes is equal to the Khan's vote. For example, there are currently three Lesser Khans. In this case, the Khan would have the same voting power as two Lesser Khans.
