Born on 6 July, 1995, in Faridabad, Haryana, Junaid Khan is the only son of his parents, and has had a passion for music and singing since childhood. Even during his school days, he had made up his mind to become a singer and entertainer. He started listening to music at a small age and had a penchant for knowing about singers of both Indian and international origin. When he was at high school, he began to take lessons in vocal music and play various musical instruments. His father and uncle proved to be a great support during those years. Junaid followed various singers and listened to their music. Some of them were of Indian origin, like Jagjit Singh (1941-2011), Raghu Dixit and Javed Ali. Western musicans like Nickback, Chris Brown and Sean Paul also arrested his attention and he devoted a good deal of time listening to their compositions. His dedication for practice and his passion for this art have helped him emerge a singer and musician of repute. He has lerant and attained expertise in the following types of vocal music: • Hindustani Music • Khayal and Thumri • Ghazal • Sufi Music • Arabian Music • Western Music The musical instruments he has learnt to play include • the harmonium • the tabla • the guitar • the drum • the keyboard • the buzuk He had realized that he had to do something different in life and his love for music was his way forward. Hence it was during his college years that he completely dedicated himself to music and singing. He, then, started doing some concerts and did some stage shows in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, etc. He also performed in some programmes in Mumbai and Bangalore. Later on, he also started playing music and singing songs on some local stage shows, but soon it dawned on him that he could not become a successful artist that way. But not giving up, he led his struggle to realize his dreams. He used to dedicate the first part of the day to practising his acquired musical and singing skills, while the other part went to preparing for stage programmes and shows. His sustained effort year after year bore fruit, and finally in 2016, he reached his destination when he presented and established himself as an entrepreneur in the field of music. His unabated effort and experience gained over these years taught him the art of entertaining people and enthral the audience. His talent and his passion for music are reflected in his programmes and shows. Those listening to him appreciate his insight and talent in music, and admire his long struggle to become an artist. These days, he is also active on the internet as an entertainer.
