Greetings! I am originally from the town of Sedalia, MO where I lived up until the start of my 5th grade year when my family moved to Columbia, MO. I completed high school in Columbia in 2002 and subsequently attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, from where I graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in physics.
In 2007, I enrolled in the University of Michigan Medical School. After my first year, I became involved with Open.Michigan and worked closely with them throughout my tenure at the University of Michigan. I spent the 2010-2011 academic year obtaining a Masters in Public Health with a focus in general epidemiology. Currently, I am in my final year of medical school and applying to residency programs in family medicine.
In the future, I plan to integrate my experiences with open learning into my career as an academic family physician, conducting research and training the next generation of family physicians.
