Subject's complete Short Biography Mithun Chakra(Chakraborty) (born 12th October 1986) is an Bangladeshi multi percussionist. He plays many instruments including Dhak, dugi, khomok Dhol, Tabla, Srikhol, Drums Djembe, octoban, darbuka, udukai, ghatam and kanjira, conga, timabali and all kind of world percussion including all latin percussion.
Biography
[edit]Mithun Chakraborty- Belonging to the musical family Mithun's mother Kalyani Ghosh is a famous folk singer and Father Avijit Chakraborty is a famous bangladeshi tabla player, since childhood he has been exploring drums and percussion and continuing his journey through different national and international collaboration. At the age of 17 he started playing with legendary guitarist of Bangladesh Mr Ayub Bachchu and since than never looked back, going to uk for study didnt stop him from his ambition during his study in uk he also played with london based Latin Jazz Band "Motimba" and performed at the famous venue Like "Ronnie Scott" he also performed as asian percussionist with Royal School Of Music and performed with lot of Indian And Pakistani Singer Like Rafaqat Ali Khan and others.
Early life
[edit]In 2011 he came back to bangladesh and started playing with All the Bangladeshi national Artist and bands like James, Miles, Habib Wahid, Arnob, Ark, Kumar biswajit Emon Chowdhury Etc.
== His Achive == 2013 He played as percussionist With Oscar Winner A R Rahman at the t20 world cup held in Dhaka Mirpur Stadium. He Also started touring all over the world as National Bangladeshi Artist country like USA, Uk, Japan, Australia, Canada,Russia Qatar, Dubai, Hongkong, Singapore, India Etc. He also has been recognised as an Singer 2017 as he sang the most recognised song of the Nation "Shopno Jabe Bari" since then he has been singing in different movies and other platforms.

[edit]He also did performed and collaborated with International legendary Artist Like Manu Chao and Bibi Tongue from france, He also produced music and performed on international platforms like Coke Studio Bangla which has gained most recognition in Bangladesh and All over the world. He also produced beat for films Like Haowa(shada Shada kala kala) Kajolrekha, Deyaler Desh etc. Most recently on 21st February 2025 he performed At UNESCO Paris, where he represented his country Bangladesh by Dhol, Dhak, Khol etc.
