Amadeus Fire AG is a personnel services provider specialising in temporary staffing, permanent placement and interim management in the commercial and IT sectors. The company hires and places specialists and managers in the Accounting, Office, Financial Services and IT Services divisions.[2]
The Group and Group-owned subsidiaries offer training and education in the fields of tax, accounting and controlling, international accounting, human resources, labour law and information technology, as well as in various other commercial areas.
With headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, the company is represented by more than 20 locations throughout Germany. In December 2024, the group employed around 3,900 people across Germany.
History
[edit]The roots of the company originate in the founding of GCB mbH in 1986 by Günter Spahn together with a partner. Günter Spahn was the company's CEO until the end of 2008. Other important milestones in the corporate history of Amadeus Fire AG are listed below:[3]
- 1990: Foundation of FiRe GmbH by Günter Spahn together with other partners
- 1996: Acquisition of Amadeus GmbH
- 1998: The merger into Amadeus AG took place by October of this year
- 1999: On 4 March 1999, the shares of Amadeus AG were traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange for the first time
- 2001: Participation in the Steuer-Fachschule Dr. Endriss
- 2003: On 6 August 2003, Amadeus AG merged with FiRe AG to form Amadeus FiRe AG
- 2005: Expansion of the offering to include IT services
- 2008: Günter Spahn leaves Amadeus FiRe AG as Chairman of the Management Board. Peter Haas becomes the new CEO.
- 2010: Inclusion of the Amadeus FiRe AG share in the SDAX in March
- 2012: Robert von Wülfing is appointed Chief Financial Officer of Amadeus FiRe AG
- 2018: Peter Haas steps down as Chairman of the Management Board
- 2019: Robert von Wülfing is appointed Spokesman of the Management Board; Dennis Gerlitzki is appointed Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for the Personnel Services segment; acquisition of Comcave Holding GmbH in December
- 2020: Acquisition of GFN GmbH in September; expansion of the Management Board to include Thomas Surwald for the Training segment; Robert von Wülfing is appointed Chairman of the Management Board in November
- 2023: Thomas Surwald leaves the Management Board at the end of the year
- 2024: New corporate identity with new logo and new corporate identity; Monika Wiederhold becomes new member of the Management Board for the Training segment in November

Social engagement
[edit]According to own press releases, Amadeus Fire supports various charitable organisations. In 2024, the Stiftung Bärenherz, Deutsche Krebshilfe and Ärzte ohne Grenzen were supported as part of the annual Christmas donation.[6]
