I was reading Celts and was struck by how high the quality of the article seemed. It had exactly the sort of information I was looking for, taught me many things I didn't know, and led me to examine sources, and other articles.

Wikipedia is a usefull tool, for performing a certain task, or category of tasks. For most people, it is the only place they have encountered the Wiki format.
