Mark Neil Berry (March 20, 1982) is a serving member of the Royal Navy. Serving in the Royal Navy Submarine Service since 2004.

Early life

Born the son of Lawrence Hyland and Susan Hilda Berry, Berry was educated at Anfield Community Comprehensive School, Anfield, Liverpool.

Naval career

Berry joined the Royal Navy in 2004, where he began his training at HMS Raleigh after which was confirmed in the Royal Navy as an Able seaman (rank). Having served his career in the Submarine service and serving on HMS Sceptre (S104) from 2006 to 2009 before joining his current unit HMS Vanguard (S28) from 2010 to 2014. Berry is a tactical systems operator using the SMCS system within the control room environment.

Family

In 2010 Berry married Nicola Jane Phennah; they have two son's (Daniel and Michael), and one daughter Isabella. Berry in his spare time is a collector and movie fanatic, collecting Action comics, Lego and Star wars memorabilia. Berry and his family currently live in Helensburgh.
