Ngaire McCarthy (1942 – 2021) was a prominent New Zealand Rationalist and outspoken Atheist.

Biography

Early life

Ngaire was one of ten children born to Hema Pakinga and Hugh McKinney. She grew up in Auckland, where as a young woman she was politically active, protesting for abortion rights, nuclear disarmament and an end to apartheid. [1][2]
