IL-2R is a trimeric proteic complex made up of the chains alpha, beta and gamma. IL-2Ralpha= CD25, il-D2beta= CD122 and IL-2gamma= CD132. IL-2Ralpha is unique for IL-2R, but beta and gamma chains are shared by other cytokines (Cheng et al Immunol Review 2011; 241(1): 63-76)
