The Jørn scale of BAMF was developed by Managerpants to describe how much of a BAMF (bad-ass motherfucker) a heavy metal singer is, in relation to Jørn Lande. The level of BAMF is determined only by vocal factors, not actual appearance, which is why Ronnie James Dio would rank much higher than someone like Aaron Neville (who is not even remotely metal and thus wouldn't appear on this list, but hey, the dude is huge). Vocal qualities that are weighed are vocal timbre, the authority conveyed in the voice, etc. Growlers and shriekers are not included, because Managerpants does not like them.
