Revix is digital currency exchange headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa. The company has created cryptocurrency index funds that represent ownership in a range of assets. Revix active seeks to market its services to demographics that are underrepresented in cryptocurrency investment, including women.[2]
History
[edit]Revix initially began as an attempt to create a cryptocurrency hedge fund in South Africa.[3] This project was abandoned due to a lack of regulatory clarity, and founders Sean Sanders and Louis Buys instead decided to found a cryptocurrency exchange.
Revix entered into an 11 million Rand deal with Sabvest in 2018, purchasing a 30% stake in the company.[4][5]
As of 2020, Revix had relocated its legal domicile to the UK and was seeking to expand its operations from South Africa to Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.[6]
