Johan Camilo Alstad-Oehren (born 8 April 1989 in Pácora) is a Hamburg based Norwegian jurist, art historian, art writer [1]and collector[2].

Early life

As a baby, Alstad-Øhren was found in a cardboard box in Colombia and later adopted[3]. He is son of the Norwegian social historian and author Andreas Johan Øhren[4]. Alstad- Øhren has grown up on the family´s agricultural farm, Søndre Øren, outside of Oslo. The property has been with the family since 1744[5][6] and aims today to focus on art and culture.7891011

Career

Alstad- Øhren has often been referred to as one of Norway’s youngest collectors121314 and an example of the young art collector generation.15161718192021 In 2010, Dagens Noeringsliv’s magazine D2 featured him in their article “Young At Art” with three other collectors from the US, Germany and Denmark.22

Alstad- Øhren has previously published several articles on art law23 and the art market in the financial paper Dagens Noeringsliv, as well as being a reference2425 2627282930and invited speaker on the subject.31 Between 2018-2021 he held the monthly column Kunstpausen in the Norwegian consumer magazine Dine Penger on the topic art and finance.32 In 2021 he published Norways first international contribution on art law in the Law Reviews, Art Law Review33. From 2018-2021 he was also on the Board with the Norwegian art institution RAM.34
