Personality
[edit]A lifelong learner, linguaphile, and bibliophile, I love learning languages and reading. Indeed, that's exactly what's brought me to Wikipedia, where translating articles brings together those two interests! Mostly (at least as I write this) I do Japanese-English translations, as Japanese is both my second language and my strongest foreign language: I could write volumes on how much Japanese has impacted my (general outlook on) life, but I won't bore you with the details ^_~
Pastimes
[edit]• Reading, be it science/mathematics (biochem major minoring in astronomy here!) or Yu-Gi-Oh! comics (I love the original series!)
• Drawing — I've been drawing (self-taught) since I was little, but only began keeping a sketchbook in March 2010; as I mention below, I sell manga art (on sketch cards) on the side!
• Playing piano, whether it involves improvising chords for another (non-English, instrumental) piece I can't find good sheet music for, or composing my own instrumental pieces (one of my life goals is to become a published composer!)
• Singing: I might not have an outrageously large vocal range (mine is slightly less than two octaves), but I know how to belt out a decent tune without sounding too much like a bird with chalk in its throat (corny joke?...I suppose that means I should stick to my day job!)
• Writing, from poetry (both standalone ones and my verse novel) to journaling (as an aspiring polyglot, I make it a habit to do so in more than just my native language)
• Taking photographs — I love seeing what kinds of angles one can achieve with the natural world and an eye for the unusual!
• Listening to music: If I'm not making music, more than likely I want to be hearing music!
• Studying languages: I took classes for Japanese and ASL, so now I am self-studying them along with seven others: French, Thai, German, Spanish, Catalan, Russian, and Chinese!
• Watching documentaries and dramas: History and psychology are two concepts that fascinate me to no end! (At the moment, my favorite drama is a tie between the Korean series "Kingdom" and the Japanese film "Long Dream" [長い夢], the latter of which stars one of my favorite singers/actors ^_^)
• Watching YouTube videos: Lately, if not language videos, mostly Dry Bar Comedy, true crime, or music videos — a good laugh or poignant song? Both, please!
Media links
[edit]• PseudoPen611, my blog of original poetry, drawings, and translations (namely, of songs and other knick-knack with Japanese writing that I come across in my house!)
• Facebook and Twitter, the two places for my work as a self-taught manga-style artist: Since February 2016, I've sold my original artwork on sketch cards (each about the size of a credit card) to people around the world, and to be honest, I couldn't ask for a more creative pastime!
• Instagram, my main platform where I post original fanart, photography, science-y things (like lab experiments), updates on my music, comparison videos (e.g., what if I hear the same line spoken by the same person in two completely different series? Compared, side by side!), memes and quotes, and so on; it's become a place where all my hobbies/interests sort of mingle spontaneously ^_~
Wikipedia contributions
[edit]- I basically redid the entire article from late May to mid-August 2020 — roughly two weeks translating the beginning statements, personal data, personality, episode, and private life from the original Japanese Wikipedia article; about two months translating the lists of appearances (e.g., animation, dubbing, radio, narration, commercials, etc.); and exactly two weeks putting that information into the Wikipedia article (I know because I started July 30th, which was a Thursday, and here I am two Thursdays later writing this in excitement!). [Note: I wrote these bulleted details on Thursday, August 13, 2020, to be exact.]
- In other words, I added the Personal data, Personality, Episode, Appearances, and Discography sections — they were absent from the English article to begin with.
- The Private life section actually popped up in the English article while I was still translating the content in the Appearances section, in early July 2020 (due to Tsuda's Instagram post that July 11th regarding his marriage, ergo private life). However, I replaced the original two-three sentences with the paragraph the original Japanese article had contained.
- I renamed the References section as Footnotes, to cohere with the Japanese article, and added the Annotation and Unit Members sections originally absent in the English article.
- I also revised the External links section to include links to Tsuda's Instagram and temporary blog, plus a little renaming of the other links.
- All this said, I can now never say I am finished revising the article — after all, as I write this (August 13, 2020), Tsuda is still pretty active in the acting/voice acting/narrating industries!
- Why did I embark on this (tremendously huge!) article rewrite? Because Tsuda has inspired me tremendously over the last few years — it was his music, his evident determination and hard work (seriously...go look at how many sections Appearances has now!), and his talent that have pulled me out of dark days so many times, that have built me up to work toward my dreams. So, I think I can say that you'll get what I mean when you see the size of this article now ^_~

Update [2020.8.19. (水)]: It looks like part of my edits have been undone on that page — namely, the rewritten beginning and the Personal data sections are gone. But, it looks like everything else has been kept as I revised it (e.g., tables and biography).
Update [2021.1.16. (土)]: Yesterday I added to Tsuda's page more, considering the work that's been done regarding his film-making lately (fun fact: Apparently, from this point onward, January 13th is an important day for both him and me in regards to our accomplishing lifelong dreams!!). (I meant it when I said it months ago — this article will never be finished as far as I'm concerned.) ^^ For once, however, the external links I added to the end of that article (which are present in the original Japanese article, by the way) have not been deleted a second time, so I am very thankful right now ^_^
Update [2021.10.5. (火)]: Okay! After seeing a comment about my above update, I decided to compile the translations that were removed (I store them via Google Keep; no way I’m losing track of my Tsuda translations — I consider them as valuable as my notebooks ^_~) into a Google Doc that is accessible to you, dear reader(s), as long as you have this link (below). Enjoy the “unofficial” translation! ^^
Check out the details on this Google doc!
Published work
[edit]- My debut work as an author/illustrator, 71 Echoes of My Soul — a collection of my original poems — is available now through Amazon in paperback and Kindle forms!! It comprises all the poems I had been writing for about 3.5 years (when I truly started wanting to write original poetry), and was independently designed and published by me.
- Release Date: January 13, 2021
