Runway East is a British flexible workspace provider headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Founded in 2014, it operates coworking and flexible office spaces primarily aimed at startups and SME's. As of 2025, Runway East has expanded to thirteen locations across the UK, including in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Brighton, and Bath.[1][2]
History
[edit]Runway East was established in 2014 by Natasha Guerra, Philipp Stoeckl and Alex Hoye, initially opening a coworking space in the City of London, targeting early‑stage technology companies. Natasha Guerra, CEO, has solely led the team since 2021. The company expanded within London, operating multiple sites across areas such as Shoreditch, Aldgate East, Soho, Borough Market, London Bridge and Bloomsbury.[3][4][5]
Leadership
[edit]Natasha Guerra is co-founder and CEO of Runway East. Studying Physics at the University of Bristol, she earned a master’s degree in Management from Imperial College London.[6] Before founding Runway East in 2014, Guerra worked with startups in Silicon Valley and London and launched her first venture, Task Firm, connecting freelancers and clients.[7] Under her leadership, Runway East has grown from a pop-up coworking space to a nationwide flexible workspace provider. Guerra faced early financing challenges, including borrowing against personal assets.[8][9] Guerra is a member of Founders Pledge, philanthropic commitment.[10]
B Corp Certification and ESG Initiatives
[edit]Runway East became a certified B Corporation in 2022.[11] The company earned an overall B Impact Score of 97.5, demonstrating excellence across governance, environmental impact, community involvement, worker treatment, and customer care. Runway East partners with other B Corps like Interaction Ltd to maintain the B Impact Score.[12]
