Why, when I place <font face="verdana" color=#6633cc>Lob</font>'<font face="verdana" color=#CC66FF>buss</font> in the strip for signature, set as a raw signature, I get a "Invalid raw signature; check HTML tags" message. What's wrong with it?

Did you check the Raw signatures box? Also it should be, <font face="verdana"><font color=#6633cc>Lob</font></font>'<font face="verdana"><font color=#CC66FF>buss</font></font>. Cheers. Real96 15:05, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

No, I'm still getting the same problem; I tried your formula, and checked the "raw sig.." but it still gives me a "Invalid raw signature; check HTML tags." message

See WP:SIG. Also, I would suggest not to make your signature that long (make it simple), because some people get irritated when signatures are longer than two lines. Real96 15:10, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Help

[edit]

I have answered your help request via helpme and that should be OK, if you want the WikiStress level even further down like at the very bottom of your Userbox then you can just put them below the code. The |- simply means like on Wikitables wtc it causes a gap between the line and separates it from other data and | is used in Tables etc also so it divides up information. Helpme request

[edit]

helpme how can I put my user boxes higher, between the stress-alert and the babel? Also, can someone explain to me
(on my talk page what exactly the |- and | means! Thanks

First, the easier question: |- and | are table markup in this situation. The markup actually starts with a {| mark, and looks like this:
a
b
c
d
a b
c d
So the marks are used to create the table that aligns your userboxes side-by-side.
The other problem is harder. You can 'float' one item on a page to the left and another to the right, but you can't float two things next to each other (or float something in the centre). The code on your userpage at the moment floats both the Babel box to the right (it's floated right by default) and your userboxes. On my screen, there isn't room for the userboxes to fit between the stress meter and the babel; however, putting them into a table (rather than floating them) might get them side-by-side, but it would be complicated. Hope that helps! --ais523 10:34, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
