OSCAR is a computer algebra system for computations in algebra, geometry, and number theory, written in Julia. The system integrates the capabilities of

  • GAP for computational discrete algebra,
  • polymake for polyhedral computations, and
  • Singular for (non-)commutative algebra

into one Julia package Oscar.jl[2]. Additionally it uses dedicated Julia packages for number theory[2].

OSCAR is a central part of the collaborative research centre SFB-TRR 195[3] of the German Research Foundation[4].
