User:Littleb2009/Why the "hide good edits" box needs to be removed
Appearance
When you see someone's contribs, you will see a checkbox called "Hide probably good edits". It needs to be removed. Here's why:
- It's inaccurate. One of the most prolific Wikipedia vandals was Willy on Wheels. However, if you look at one of his sockpuppet's contributions, moving user pages to rename them with "on wheels" at the end (That must be horrible for the victims!), none of them appear if you check the "hide good edits" box!
- It's misleading. Like, you see a user, and you check their contributions. But it's a mess. So you hit that box and see if that user has any bad contributions. None seen. But in reality, that user is a subtle vandal.
Once this is good, I'm bringing it to the village pump proposals, which I know is a bad idea machine. However, occasionally, good ideas appear there.
