[edit]Founded on 19 December 1666, Lund University's original academic structure consisted of four traditional disciplines: theology, law, medicine and philosophy. [1]

[edit]Between 2002 and 2006, Lund University's second strategic plan sought to broaden the university's horizons, promote the development of an internal innovation system and incorporate the shaping of society and human development as part of its goals.[2]
