Political Communication
Political Communication is about the creation and exchange of ideas and opinions between public officials, citizens, and things such as the media. It is an interdisciplinary field that blends social sciences, strategic communication, and media studies with politics and government. Political Communication area focuses on how communication and media affects political attitudes and behaviors, while also telling how communication reveals the workings of political institutions and political systems. No matter the form of government, politics relies heavily on communication between political elites, the media and citizens. Many studies have been done on how the media can affect how politics can be communicated, as well as the culture surrounding politics.
