Elena Fisher is Nathan Drake's wife. They met in the first game, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, where Elena agreed to work with Nathan in order to boost her documentary. Throughout the second half of Drake's Fortune, they work together in order to survive alongside Sully whom they thought had died after being ambushed by Navarro and Gabriel Roman. By the end of the game, Nathan and Elena embrace each other after defeating Navarro and they sail off into the sunset with treasure and Sully.

In Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Elena and Nathan reunite by coincidence in Nepal. Elena, now an investigative journalist is there to track down war criminal Lazarević. They later work together to take him down after Lazarević kills Elena's cameraman Jeff. They were able to take down Lazarević but Elena was badly wounded by a grenade. After she recovers, Elena and Nathan look out into the mountains after displaying affection towards one another.
