Moonstone is a free crypto-Wallet that allows transfers and trades among Bitcoin, BitAssets (like bitUSD and bitGOLD), User-Issued Assets (UIA), and other Tokens.

Moonstone kicked off a unique crowdfunding drive today (Friday 10th April 2015), promising backers 15% profit if they help to fund a new lightweight, open source wallet for Bitshares.

How Moonstone works

Moonstone is both a web-app and desktop client. New web technologies have made this amazing approach possible. You can either signup and login to Moonstone on the web or download the client. You then proceed to importing your existing wallet or creating a new one. You won’t need to wait for any blockchain to download anymore! At no point to we have access to any of your private keys. You are in charge of your tokens! Once signed up you can start transacting and trading any tokens.

Moonstone will provide users the ability to transfer and trade crypto-assets like BitGOLD, BitCNY and user-issued assets like NOTE. The new lightweight wallet will be available as both a desktop client or online web service, and will focus on providing a friendly and intuitive interface as well as introducing a few new features – such as one-click sign up to external exchanges and integrated order book for traders.
