Dr. Nitin Singhal (born 18 August 1984) is an Indian surgical oncologist specializing in robotic surgery, minimally invasive cancer surgery, and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC). He is Director of Surgical Oncology at Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad, and Founder of Compass Cancer Care. Dr. Singhal is notable for complex cancer surgeries and is widely recognized for initiating advanced HIPEC treatments in Western India.

[edit]Dr. Singhal received his MBBS degree from Government Medical College, Nagpur, followed by an MS in General Surgery from PGIMS, Rohtak, and an MCh in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Career
[edit]Dr. Singhal has held significant roles at Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai), Fortis Escorts Hospital (Faridabad), Jindal Hospital (Hisar), Apollo Hospital (Ahmedabad), and Marengo CIMS Hospital. Currently, he is at Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad, where he directs the Surgical Oncology department.
Notable Work
[edit]Dr. Singhal is recognized for several high-profile surgeries extensively covered by national media, including: - Removing the world's largest Wilms tumor (3.1 kg) from a child. - Full tongue reconstruction using thigh tissues. - Surgical treatment of rare pheochromocytoma in an international patient. - Innovative procedures involving robotic-assisted surgeries and HIPEC. In February 2022, a 56-year-old woman from Gujarat underwent surgery to remove a 47 kg retroperitoneal leiomyoma, one of the largest non-ovarian tumors reported in India, performed by a team including surgical oncologist Dr. Nitin Singhal.
