Systemates, Inc. is a software company providing web-based construction project management software to organizations across a wide number of industries including government, healthcare, education, and retail. The company’s primary software, Projectmates, was first released in 2000 in response to a need for a complete construction management software solution. The software serves a wide variety of markets, including project owners, hospitals, universities, national retailers, and design-build contractors.[1] Projectmates utilizes a cloud-based, mobile friendly platform that features over 40 modules to address tasks including document management, budgeting, scheduling, bidding & contract management, RFIs, submittals, invoices and change orders.
The company is privately held and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
History
[edit]Systemates was founded in 1995 by leading architects and software engineers. Shortly after, the company was commissioned to create a web-based project collaboration tool to be used for a major airline's offshore projects. Within two years, Systemates had provided more than 100 project extranet sites for the construction and planning projects of two prominent airlines.
In September, 1999, Systemates launched ArchManage, the prototype for the first web-based construction project management system and the legacy product of Projectmates. Systemates then released Projectmates in 2000, and the product was most recently updated in November 2015 with the release of Version 14.5.[2]
Systemates is a SSAE 16 certified company.[3]

It features more than 40 modules to address tasks including document management, budgeting, scheduling, bidding & contract management, RFIs, submittals, invoices and change orders. Over 55,000 users from organizations such as retailers, real estate developers, medical centers, as well as educational and government agencies rely on Projectmates to manage billions of dollars in capital construction programs.[4]
Projectmates can be integrated with many enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, and MS Solomon. It is accessible via web browser on any desktop or mobile device, and also features a downloadable application for Apple[5] and Android[6] devices.
