Jaime McMillan (D) Candidate for Colorado House of Representatives
Born July 16, 1967. Albany, GA. Mother Jackie Jones (born in Denver, CO). Father James McMillan (born in Welch, WV). Moved to Charlotte, NC as an adolescent and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School.
While in school Jaime was inspired by one of his Political Science professors to take an interest in law and politics. His first job however was selling Bose Acoustic wave machines door to door in Atlanta, GA. Responding to an in the Atlanta Constitution for "stockbrokers" he applied and was accepted and became a licensed Series 7 broker.
Migrating to Phoenix Arizona, later he would be hired by Charles Schwab and Company in 1993. He worked to open and expand Schwab's growing network of offices in Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, and Mission Viejo. He married while in Mission Viejo, CA and had two sons Zachary and Troy McMillan. During this time he pursued his passion for legall studies and attended Trinity School of Law by studying at night for the 4 years and graduated in 2007 with a Juris Doctor of law J.D.
He later divorced but continues his involvement in raising his two sons and expanding his company Qualitas Wealth Counsel. He oversees the Investment Management of the three Qualitas offices in California, Colorado, and Texas. Qualitas is a Registered Investment Advisor specializing in preserving and growing client capital.
Jaime currently lives in Durango, Colorado.
