Lightning Man
[edit]Lightning Man is a fictional Anime/ Manga created by Musician and Actor Johnny Comotion. The story is of 15 year old Steven Matthews, who attends the same exact school Johnny did, Escalon High. Secretly, Steven is the super-charged super hero, Lightning Man.
Plot
[edit]Lightning Man takes place at the turn of the 21st century, in the year 2000. Steven Matthews is zapped by 40,000,000 Volts of electricty due to a severe lightning storm. Once he regained consciousness, Steve continued on his walk, and noticed something was a miss. His uncle, Mike Helms, decided to assist Steve in properly maintaining his powers and thus Lightning Man was born.
Lightning Man has done many battles against dark, devious foes. His most common one was Rubbertron, a man who vowed revenge on Steve, but decided to go after Lightning Man instead, purely out of a coincidence.
List of Main Characters
[edit]Steven Matthews
[edit]Steven is a 15 year old Sophomore at Escalon High School. He enjoys playing sports in his spare time, and is overall a kid of pure heart. He lives with his Uncle Mike Helms, a clumsy scientist, who always manages to get into a mess of sorts. He also lives with his younger sister, Mellissa, who assists her Uncle's clumsiness. These 2 are the only people, at first, who know that Steve is Lightning Man, and his Uncle does all the work to ensure he is prepared for a battle. Mellissa, however, mocks her brother, saying that she's too much of a mature actress to even care about some stupid super hero joke. The first to discover Ligtning Man's identity is Rubbertron, by zapping him of his power one day, then realized he was going after the same kid who got him in trouble with the law in the first place. Next up was his best friend, Jeff Turner, who discovered this as Rubbertron kidnapped all of Steve's personal close friends and family. This was to lure Lightning Man into a trap, and Jeff was the only one who didn't get zapped by Rubbertron's Z-ray, a ray that causes deep sleep to anyone who get hit by it. Jeff manages to break free once Rubbertron had drained Lightning Man's power, revealing his true identity. Jeff turns the drain machine to reverse, causing an overload in Lightning Man and destroying the Dark Dungeon. The final person to discover the true identity of Lightning Man was Kayla Scamp, Steve's girlfriend. This was done in the last saga of Season 1, as Rubbertron was sickened how Kayla and Steve co-existed as a love couple. Jealous, Rubbertron uses a newly devoloped techno-ray to lure Kayla into a trap. Once she's captured, Rubbertron turned her into Psygirl, a Telekinetic Super Villain, with only one mission, destroy Lightning Man. Though she was not acting on her free will, she was very aware of the situation, which in turn, helped her learn that Steve was Lightning Man. Steve broke the spell by powering down in a hectic battle, calling Kayla by her name, and expressing his undying love for her. Since Rubbertron's spell was created by pure hatred, the love Steve expressed was enough to break her spell, and in Season 2, she became his sidekick.
Mike Helms
[edit]Mike is a 45 year old Scientist who refers to himself as a jack-of-all-trades. His biggest work is to find a cure to world hunger, and each time he makes the immense amount of food, his pet kranlac, a genetically misshapen creature he made by splicing a cat and a mouse, would always eat it. Despite his follies and clumsiness, Mike has mastered the ability to stablize his nephew, Steve's, powers as Lightning Man. It starts by creating the suit to help contain the powers, then by withstanding water, in which Lightning Man did serious battle with the ocean god, Hydroman. Then bolt absorbtion was another thing Mike added to the suit, just so Lightning Man can charge in a thunderstorm if needed. Mike's always having to chase his niece, Mellissa, out of the lab after she has done something to sabotage it. Mike deals with a bad chemical mix, causing explosions, or causing him to tranform into a bear-lizard. When Psygirl was cured of the evil spell, Mike used her powers as an experiment to enhance knowledge of Telekinesis, and even made her powers top notch, that even Rubbertron couldn't figure his former minion out.
Mellissa Matthews
[edit]Mellissa is a 10 year old at Watson Elementary in Escalon. She goes to school dressed like a celebrity, and acts like she runs the place. She always has a wise-acre crack to make at her older brother, especially about his super powers. The one time she actually showed concern was when her uncle had stressed that Steve was going through a physio-electro discharge period, in which Lightning Man wouldn't exist for 72 hours. Mike had told Mellissa to stay in doors, and not to do anything to the lab, as Steve was placed in a Electro-protective chamber to prevent damage to everything around him, in the lab. Noticing that Rubbertron had taken advantage of the moment, she gets to the Thunder Gloves, an additive to Lightning Man's arsenal to assist him temporarily if his powers were failing. Since she was a lot smaller, these gloves charged her completely, turning her into Thunder Girl. Rubbertron merely just laughed at her, saying he wouldn't feel right about hitting a little girl, but just then, she over powered the villian, sending him on the run. By the time Steve recovered and was ready for battle, Rubbertron had already retreated saying "I will return, and next time I won't be so nice, Little girl!"
Trevor Crenshaw
[edit]Trevor is the alter-ego to Rubbertron, the main antagonist of the Lightning Man series. He gets thrown in jail, after stealing over a million dollars worth of Jewlery from the mall, and was caught by Steven Matthews. Trevor swore revenge on Steve, but while in jail, he was intrigued by Hydroman battling Lightning Man. He seriously would rather fight a super-human than just a kid, so he swore upon leaving jail, he would assist Hydroman. By the time Trevor was released, Lightning Man had destroyed Hydroman. Trevor went to the get the aid of his brother, Arnie, to assist him in becoming a super-villain. Arnie's top art trade in science is gene-splicing. Arnie fused his brother with the basis of rubber, using an old bald tractor tire that was just laying around. Once the splicing was complete, Arnie instructed Trevor to not go anywhere or do anything for 45 minutes to let the genetics work. Trevor, on the otherhand, decided to go against this, calling his brother a fraudster scientist. Just as Trevor left, he almost forgot his coat, and instead of walking to grab it, he reached for it, streching his arm the 15 feet it was away. Thus Rubbertron was born.
Jeff Turner
[edit]Jeff is a Sophomore at Escalon High. He is very popular, and only started hanging out with Steve at school once Steve and Kayla hooked up. Steve was extremely unpopular, but has always been close friends with Jeff. Jeff only hung out with Steve after school and on weekends until this. Jeff is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to sports. He does everything there is, from bowling, golfing, tennis, fencing, gymnastics, baseball, basketball, and his all time favorite, football. Jeff convinces Steve to join the High School football team for their freshman year for Steve to gain popularity. Kayla, being a cheerleader, had always gone to the games, and from a distance, admired Steve. She constantly rejected him, and Jeff who did attempt a couple times. One day the local bullies, Chet and Clyde Silverman, decided to harrass her at the game. Since defense was up and playing, Steve was sitting on the Sidelines, and noticed this. He stood up to the bullies, gaining favor of the whole football team, Jeff totally didn't expect it, but most of all, Kayla fell madly in love with Steve on the spot. Thus, Steven Matthews was now extremely popular at Escalon High.
Kayla Scamp
[edit]Kayla is a 16 year old Junior at Escalon High. She is the current Girlfriend of Steven Matthews, and later becomes his partner in Crime Fighting, as Psygirl. She tried hard flirting with Steve, without luring him into a relationship, as she is the towns biggest flirt. He tried hard to prove his feelings for her, but she rejected him each time, trying hard not to fall for him. This proved to have a flaw when he defended her against the Silverman brothers at a football game. She couldn't resist it, as nobody ever showed true care and concern for her. Her mother and sister have reputations at Escalon High identical to her's. She grew up without her father, mostly because her mother never stopped flirting. Her sister is barely 20 and has been divorced twice, just because she acts suspicious about her flirtatious ways. Kayla has overcome this disposition, as Steve is true and honest with her.
Chet Silverman
[edit]Chet Silverman is a Freshman at Escalon High, and loves to cause trouble for those more fortunate. Chet is always seen with his older brother, Clyde, who is not as devious, but still a bully. Chet tries getting into trouble all the time. Once he and Clyde blew up the Chemistry Lab, just so they could get out of school. Despite being fingered by other students, Rubbertron used the boys as his pawns for evil. Thus once they returned to normal, Steve detested to the Principal,"These boys are innocent, that evil Rubbertron had controlled their minds to blow up the lab." The brothers, confused why Steve helped them, said Thanks. Steve replied with, "You owe me, BIG!" This still ended in the favor of the Silverman's as school was closed for 2 weeks for repairs.
Clyde Silverman
[edit]Clyde is a 19 year old Junior at Escalon High. With his dimwitted mind, he'll be lucky enough to graduate before he turns 23. He is now a legal adult, which has dimmed his bully-like persona down a bit, but his 14 year old brother, Chet, gets him to go along with his bullying. Clyde works at the local fast food restaurant, "Burger's and Stuff" just so he can move out once he eventually graduates. Best notable Clyde Silverman moments are as follows: Teacher: Clyde what is the Capitol of California? Clyde: um....California City?
Principal:(yelling because of Clyde smoking outside of his classroom) Can you be any more dumber, Mr. Silverman? Clyde: Actually, Mr. Tamingo, Yes I can. My dad said so, since I threw out the clutch on his automatic car. He said it takes an idiot to do the impossible.
Steve: Dude, seriously, don't you ever get tired of messing with people? Clyde: Yeah, so I go to sleep, and wake up ready to do it again.
Teacher: Mr. Silverman, what is the square root of 'pi'? Clyde: um let's see, my stomach!
Arnold Crenshaw
[edit]Arnie, as he usually goes by, is a mad scientist bent on cloning the perfect soldier. Unlike his younger brother, Trevor, he takes his evil slowly, to ensure perfection. He was a pupil of Mike Helms when Mike taught the College of Modesto. Arnie had challenged Mike to a competition of genetics, as both study this. Mike failed by creating Roger, the Kranlac, his cat-mouse spliced fusion. Arnie, on the other hand, created Cybernaught, a half-man, half-machine creature using his own DNA, along with scrap metal. This proved to be sucessful, however the Cybernaught was far too evil and too powerful to stay calm. Eventually, Arnie managed to shut it down. Arnie used a tractor tire to fuse with his brother, and is the sole creator of Rubbertron. Trevor doesn't really like giving Arnie credit for this, however. Arnie isn't as direct with his evil, and is even very profession and friendly most of the time, usually for the deception concept. He currently works on a new project: Villain xx0123, a proto-type suit, which was originally for Trevor, but it was too small. Arnie plans on using it himself, but is uncertain of what he wants the villian to actually do.
Annie Helms Crenshaw
[edit]Annie is the sister of Mike, and Mother to Steve and Mellissa. She lost her husband (also named Steven) to a serious car accident 5 years earlier. Annie went missing 2 years after this, possibly to go into exile for her own mental state. It is unclear exactly where, or how she vanished, but she is mentioned through flashbacks a lot. She does have a secret that nobody knows, and when Steve finds out, he becomes extremely surprised.
Steven Matthews Sr.
[edit]Steven is the father of Steve and Mellissa. He is mentioned, but is never shown in flashbacks. Rubbertron uses the whole Star Wars joke of "Steve, I am really your father!" to throw Lightning Man off in a battle. Steven Sr. was actually on his way home on Steve's 10th birthday, with the cake and presents, but was killed in a car accident. There is a flashback reference of the accident, but nobody involved was shown.
Alexander Tamingo
[edit]Mr. Tamingo is the principal at Escalon High. He is really frustrated with the evil the kids get into. Though Steve and Kayla both have a great work ethic, they get yelled out by Mr. Tamingo for merely holding hands in the hallway during lunch. He is shown to have a schedule with the Silverman brothers name's on it, and meets with them at least once a day, usually based on their frequent misconduct and figures he leave his schedule just for them. One time they were pulled in just for this, and surprisingly, Chet and Clyde decided to take the "Day off" from trouble.
List of Episodes/ Movies
[edit]Movie 1: Lightning Man - Hydroman Attacks!
[edit]This movie starts with the true origin of Lightning Man. One cloudy afternoon, Steven Matthews decided to go see his girlfriend, Kayla Scamp. On the way there, it started to rain, but Steve kept on moving. The rain got worse, and it started to storm. Steve was hit by 40 million Volts of lightning, knocking him unconscious. When he awoke, he felt super charged, and had his Uncle Mike regulate the power. Thus Lightning Man was born.
Following Steve's freshman year in school, he decided to take a relaxing break with Kayla up in Santa Cruz where his dad left him a condo. After a while of being there, Steve discovers some disruption on the beach. He discovers Hydroman, a creature of the sea. Hydroman continues his onslaught in Steve's hometown of Escalon, where Lightning Man has a extrem battle. Hydroman gets weakened, and leaves his abnormal DNA behind, just enough to get Mike to look at it, and see if he can determine a weakness.
With Steve constantly disappearing from Kayla, she is getting suspicious that he may be working for the forces of evil. Meanwhile, Trevor Crenshaw watches this on the news, and decided he wants to work for Hydroman. Lightning Man is defeated, and all hope is lost when he never comes around. Mike devised that Hydroman creates storms based of water vapors, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, hail, and extreme gale winds. He never creates thunderstorms, as it is his true weakness. Lightning Man, with the ability to create storms, uses this to his advantage. With Hydroman ready to make his final blow to Lightning Man, he floods the city of Escalon. Steve lays lifeless as this is happening, but as Hydroman went underwater to find him, Steve evaporated into the clouds above, and transformed back into lightning man. With all his power he currently maintained, Lightning Man creates a heafty thunderstorm, just in the small area where the battle is. With over 900 Million volts of power, Hydroman cannot hold onto his life any longer and is destroyed. Lightning Man's thunderstorm recharges him to full power, and with the Death of Hydroman, the city flood is over. Trevor Crenshaw is then released from Jail. He gets his brother to help him in becoming Rubbertron.
Episode 101: Rubbertron's Chaos
[edit]Now with the death of Hydroman, Rubbertron decides its time to rule the world. He starts by creating Rubbletts, a group of warriors to do his evil bidding. These creatures go out and terrorize the city. With Steve still in class, noting that his uncle has tried getting him to go do his job, he tries everything to get out of class. Bathroom break, tell the office he feels sick, etc. but to no avail. Finally the Rubbletts trash the school, putting everyone into a panic. With this distraction, Steve changes into Lightning Man, and a battle ensues. Realizing that rubber is a perfect insulator for electricity, Lightning Man must focus his physical attacks against these minions. With the final defeat of the Rubbletts, Rubbertron is furious and engages in battle with Lightning Man. The battle was extremely tough, and despite power disadvantages, Lightning Man defeats Rubbertron, proving that good always triumphs over evil.
Episode 102: Battle of Responsibilties
[edit]Steve learns a valuable lesson in responsibilties. With the constant struggle of an adolecent teen, dealing with school, a girl friend, and saving the world, Steve must better prioritize his schedule. Mike tries to intervene, but Steve's natural stubborness prevents this to be successful. Rubbertron decides its time to release the Borgmanter, a cyborg praying mantis to destroy the town.
With Steve trying to multi-task, Going out on a date with Kayla AND doing Algebra homework at the same time, he barely has any idea of what to do about this monster. Steve finally said that he needs a break from homework, and Kayla took it as him focusing on their date. She sat there trying to kiss him as he gets up and goes to save the world.
The battle between Borgmanter and Lightning Man ensues, and gets really cataclysmic. Eventually, Borgmanter's circuits overload, due to constant changes in Lightning Man's battle strategy. Lightning Man saves the day again, but Steve gets a good talking to by Kayla, which goes on for days.
Episode 103: Trevor spells Terror
[edit]Trevor decides he is going to take a long walk through town. He gets bored of his trek at around 4 am, and decides to mutate the wooden structures of the houses in Escalon into rubber. In the morning, Steve tries to leave for school, when the door knob won't turn, and even the door not opening. At full force he tries to break the door down, managing to stretch it 25 feet, just to be shot back into his house, and then bouncing between the rubber walls.
Rubbertron announces to the city that he has trapped them in their own homes, so now wherever Lightning Man is, he can get away with ruling the world. Mellissa decides to play in her uncle's lab, as creates some weird teal colored cunconction. As Mike tries to stop her, the reaction of the chemical creates a gas that turned the rubber walls and everything else of their house back to normal. Mike creates the Chemi-Cannon. With any chemical Mike has, Lightning Man can use it for his onslaught against evil. Lightning Man gets high enough to see Escalon has been transformed into a large rubber playground. With this gas, Lightning Man creates a large rain cloud, and liquifies the compound with the rain.
As the rain soon disappeared, The city was returned to normal. Rubbertron was permanently reverted back to Trevor. Trevor, furious over the loss of his power, goes back to his brother to get re-rubberized.
Episode 104: Lock-On!
[edit]With Rubbertron temporarily inactive, the Silverman Brothers create a the war-box, a large mechanical robot to assist them in their devious pranks. With the lock-on option they installed, they can shoot and NEVER miss. Unfortunately for them, Lightning Man is called to destroy their Machine. Once Lightning Man pulls them out of it, he gets on them about being mischeivious and causing problems like this. Bad timing is made worse as Rubbertron is even more powerful than he was before. He enters the main engine of the War-box, and transforms into a large cyborg.
Lightning Man's work is now cut out for him. Rubbertron shoots out liquified rubber to do his attacks, but as Lightning Man called it weak, the rubber shots explode, knocking Lightning Man to the ground. With Lightning Man weakend, Rubbertron decides to finish him off with the Lock-On feature and using a large missle. Lightning Man's Boomerang Bolt on his mask is the main target of the Lock-On.
Lightning Man gets up, tosses the electro-magnetically charged boomerang at Rubbertron, and it sticks. The Missle has noticed the change and heads to attack Rubbertron. With the blast of the missle, Rubbertron is defeated, and the boomerang is returned. Before Lightning Man can finish setting some sense into the Silverman brothers, they are gone.
Episode 105: Calling the Thunder Maxtron
[edit]Rubbertron uncovers a deep layer beneath the earth's surface. He discovers the Gorgex XD, a menacing powerful robot, large enough to incinerate the city. Upon unleashing this war machine on Escalon, Mike works tirelessly on a project to better assist Lightning Man. After hours of continuous work he creates the Thunder Maxtron, a power metalic supersuit for Lightning Man to wear. At first Lightning Man was skeptical, as the suit was his size. Once he put it on and went outside, it transformed him into a large fighter bot.
The Thunder Maxtron is now in battle with Gorgex XD, operated by a Rubblette minion. After a while, Rubbertron is annoyed how Lightning Man is winning. He decides to infiltrate the system to the Gorgex XD and becomes one with it. Now the battle is heated, and Lightning Man knows that Rubbertron will take advantage of destroying a building in the process. Lightning Man uses his electromagnetics to suck the semi-metal Rubbertron to him, and using the Jet-Pack, flies to a remote location some 100 Miles away.
The battle continues as Rubbertron uses his special powers along with the Gorgex's secret weapons. One blast from the Gorgo-Cannon causes certain doom for the Thunder Maxtron, when all of a sudden the weather changes to a thunderstorm. Lightning Man initiates all charging lightning rods on Maxtron and absorbs as much lightning as he can, repairing all damage. With the Maxtron at 100% power, he hits the Gorgex XD with a massive thunder-spiral, causing the systems main computer to shut-down.
Rubbertron barely escapes with his own life, as he was one with the Gorgex and therefore could have died as well. He vowed to Lightning Man that he would have his day of vengance.
Episode 106: Love like Cement
[edit]On a Saturday Afternoon, Steve decided to take Kayla out for some lunch. They spent the whole afternoon together, just walking and talking. Rubbertron sees this, as he still wants his revenge on Steven Matthews, and decides to create Concretion, a monster made out of Cement. It feeds on rocks, bricks and dirt to get stronger, and has the ability if sealing people away in cement blocks. If the victims don't get released in time, they turn into cement statues.\
Concretion hides in the sidewalk below them, and waits until they are close. Once they come up, Concretion attacks, sealing the two of them in a large block of thick, fast-drying cement. With Steve trapped in this block of concrete, Lightning Man now cannot save the day.
At around Midnight, Mike gets a little worried that Steve hasn't come home, and calls Kayla's house to see if he might be there. When he discovers Kayla hasn't come home either, he really gets worried. He decides to use his Bio-Rhythm monitor to see if he can find them somewhere in town.
He passes by the high school, where he notices a new, randomly placed, block of cement sticking out of the ground. His bio-rhythm monitor detects a faint presence of 2 individuals in the block, and he immediately tries getting it back to his lab. After several failed attempts, he decides to go to his lab to grab some supplies. When he returns, his bio-rhythm monitor isn't detecting anything.
To Rubbertron's dismay, he assumed Lightning Man would already have come to the rescue. Upon discovering Mike's attempt to free Steve and Kayla, he sends Concretion to attack him. With the 2 out of the block, Mike now needs to reorganize their cellular structure to come back to life. He decides to start with Steve first. After Steve was freed, he transforms into Lightning Man. Concretion tries sealing Lightning Man up in Cement, but it proves to be worthless, as Lightning Man solidifies the wet cement as its coming at him.
Finally Concretion shoots wet cement right above him, causing a massive cocoon-like shell to form around him. After a few seconds, Concretion has grown extremely large, ready to squash the town. Lightning Man calls forth the Thunder Maxtron and goes into battle. Concretion seals the Maxtron in cement, and is now overly confident thinking he is victorious. Within seconds, the concrete starts to crumble, and the Thunder Maxtron is unscathed.
With one blow, the Thunder Maxtron turns Concretion into nothing but a large pile of dried cement chips. Just as this happens, Mike finally frees Kayla, just in time for Steve to return. Rubbertron deemed this to be an unfair match, and swore that Lightning Man was near his doom.
Episode 107: Arnie's Zapper
[edit]Arnie shows up at Rubbertron's Lair to show him his newest invention, the Zapper. With the corniness in the name, Rubbertron isn't pleased, until a demonstration was given. It has the ability to randomly cause chaos. Rubbertron tries it out on local citizens. It caused one guys glasses to grow extremely large, preventing him from seeing, a womans shirt to vanish, and even caused a man driving his car, to all of a sudden be driving nothing at all.
Rubbertron was certain this was the end-all-be-all of perfect evil weapons. Rubbertron decides to randomly start zapping houses in Escalon, including Steve's house. This transformed it into a McDonald's, causing Steve to freak out when he woke up. He transforms into Lightning Man, to discover the town has been transformed into a wild fantasy world.
He quickly discovers Rubbertron is behind this scheme and goes to shut him down. As he is decending downward, Rubbertron zaps Lightning Man to see what happens. It changed him back to Steve, and prevented him from transforming back. Steve rushes back to the house, still a McDonald's. When he asks Mike for help, there is no lab to go to, just a freezer with frozen hamburger patties and fries. Rubbertron runs amuck through town and decides to go back to Arnie's Lab.
Steve decides to search the house for his Lightning Suit, for manual power-up. He was only ably to find his boomerang and boots. With his boots, he can use electromagnetism to float, but only for brief periods, and the boomerang is a good weapon, but without the full Lightning Man ensemble, he is one his own.
With Steve being tied to the Suit, his powers no longer work without it. He finds Rubbertron outside of the Middle School which is now a large amusment park. Rubbertron starts moving fast to Arnie's Lab, and Steve takes to the roofs to help balance his sky travel.
At the Lab, Steve discovers Rubbertron beefing up the Zapper, to guarantee what will happen. Rubbertron says that Hell will fall down on Escalon, and that without Lightning Man, the city will be in true perell. Steve is now certain that Rubbertron has finally won. -TO BE CONTINUED-
Episode 108: Doom's day
[edit]With Lightning Man out of the way, Rubbertron feels its time to unleash the upgraded Zapper on the city. Steve tries to find ways of regaining his lost powers. Mike explains that the Lighting Suit is either missing, or in evil hands...either way, without the Power Chamber and the Suit inside, Lightning Man is no more.
Steve refused to quit. He knew that all he needed to do was get the Zapper to have Mike look at it and determine what there is to do. Steve goes back to the lab, with the Thunder Gloves as a back up, and confronts Arnie. Arnie sends out some spliced creatures to defend him as he tries to escape. Steve defeats the minions with ease and jumps up to catch Arnie, who is leaving out of a high rise window, with the Lightning suit in his possession.
Steve tackles Arnie, and takes the suit. Rubbertron now has turned Escalon into the hell he predicted. Gang Members who were once locked in jail are now free to roam, crime and chaos fill the city. Police hide in terror, and citizens are forced to board up their windows to their homes. Rubbertron is so sure he has won, he decides to endulge in a few drinks at the bar. While doing this he sits the Zapper down in the stool next to his.
Steve has managed to power up as Lightning Man and finds the Zapper. He uses his boomerang to snatch it swiftly, and Rubbertron stops drinking to go after it. Rubbertron starts weakening rapidly and changes back to Trevor. He calls Arnie to ask what happened to find out that any mind altering substance will deteriorate his powers temporarily.
Lightning Man returns to his Uncle with the Zapper. Mike discovers the Zapper is nothing more than a hyper powered hypnosis device, And nothing more. This being said it is proving that all of the terror is really just a figment of the city's imagination. Unfortunately it still needs to be returned to normal. Mike said that the only way to undo this is to destroy the Zapper's Hypnosis beam, which is actually generated from Arnie's Lab.
Lightning Man heads back to the Lab once more....this time, the Lab is now barracaded from the inside out. After many failed attempts to break down the barriers, Lightning Man reverts back to Steve, and is so weak he can barely stand. Rubbertron, knowing the password to the Lab, enters and grabs the Lifeless Steve with him, muttering "How did you get here, kid?"
With a powerless Steve, and a hypnotized city, it appears that Lightning Man has failed once again. -TO BE CONTINUED-
