Jeffrey "Jeff" Lalloway (born March 1, 1962) is an attorney and elected official from Orange County, California. He is the current mayor pro tem of Irvine, California and he is a member of the Republican Party.

Early Life and Education

Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Jeff graduted from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey with a Bachelors of Arts in political science, with the highest honors. Afterwards, Jeff attended Villanova University School of Law where he was a member of the prestigious Law Review and was a recipient of the Law Alumni Award. In 1989, he graduated at the top of his class.

Law Career

Jeff first started off his law career working at numerous large law firms in the Philadelphia area, including working in the U.S. Attorney's office in Philadelphia. He would eventually start his own practice in the Philadephia area before moving to California with his family.

He is a member of the California Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Political career

Since moving to California with his family, Jeff was an active member of the Orange County Republican Party, Republic Jewish Coalition, Irvine Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Club of Orange County.

In 2009, he was appointed and serviced on to the Irvine Finance Commission, he was later appointed as Vice Chair of the Finance Commission.

In 2010, Jeff decided to run for city council in the city of Irvine. Of the ballots cast, he was the second highest vote getter with over 20,000 votes and 22.3% of all ballots cast, the highest out of any non-incumbent candidates.^[1]

Lalloway serves as the Vice-Chairman for the Orange County Transportation Authority board^[2]; also as a board member for the Orange County Fire Authority^[3] and the Orange County Great Park^[4]. In 2013, he was the Chair of the Orange County Great Park.

Family

Jeff lives in Irvine with his wife Laura and their two daughters Regan and Sydney. The Lalloway residence also has home to two pugs named Rocky and Sammy.

Jeff is an avid cyclist and enjoying riding throughout Orange County. He also enjoys coaching and watching the softball and soccer events that his daughters are apart of. He is actively invovled in rasing money and awareness to Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
