RaidCall (or RC) is a Freeware VoIP software that also includes text chat. RaidCall is an audio service based on Cloud-computing. Both the client and server software are Freeware. RaidCall Overlay is a built-in Flash-based engine which enables freely use of RaidCall within any game. RaidCall relies on the most popular and powerful audio-engine, Speex, to effectively reduce noise and promote audio quality. RaidCall utilizes UDP as communication protocol, and advanced packet recovery algorithm to reduce Latency. The software takes up ~2MB of RAM and uses 0.02-0.07% of CPU resource.
RaidCall uses the Client-Server Model to transfer data, rather than using the P2P Model. When user is talking in this Client-Server model, RaidCall sends one stream of data to the RaidCall server, then the server broadcasts it to other users in the same channel.
