Ivy

The Ivy bus is a Software bus allowing to send text messages between applications. It is developed by the French Centre d'Etudes de la Navigation Aérienne (CENA) since 1996, no integrated in the Direction des Services de la navigation aérienne (DSNA).^[1]

Overview

The Ivy API is developed for several languages (C, C++, Java, Python and Perl). It allows to send text messages to all clients connected to the bus.

The Battle of Hernani

The Battle of Hernani (La Bataille d'Hernani in French) is the name given to the demonstrations which occurred for the first representations of Hernani, a drama by the French romantic author Victor Hugo.

This "Battle" in question was between the "classics" ("Les classiques" in French) (who were for a strict hierarchy of theatrical styles, and the "romantics", following Victor Hugo, who aspired to a revolution of dramatical art.
