Harrison Painter
[edit]Harrison Painter is an American entrepreneur, educator, author, and media producer known for his work in artificial intelligence (AI) education, small business innovation, and digital marketing. He is the founder of LaunchReady.ai and serves as Director of AI Literacy & Outreach at Blaizing Academy, a nonprofit initiative affiliated with Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) National & Global. Painter is also the author of AI for Small Business: A Roadmap to Innovation, regarded as Indiana’s first technical AI book for business professionals.[1]
Early Career
[edit]Painter began his career in marketing and digital media, co-founding Lone Wolf Media, a production and marketing firm. In 2012, Mimvi, Inc., a publicly traded technology company, signed a letter of intent to acquire Lone Wolf Media.[2] The acquisition was completed in early 2013.[3] Painter's work with Mimvi led to opportunities in Hollywood, where he collaborated with media personalities and athletes on video marketing and digital media projects.
Documentary Production
[edit]During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Painter partnered with the education nonprofit Certell to produce and direct Bending Bars, a documentary series showcasing the impact of a civics education program for incarcerated individuals. The project was later recognized by GlobeNewswire as part of a national civic education award campaign.[4]
AI Education and Blaizing Academy
[edit]In 2022, Painter joined Blaizing Academy, a nonprofit AI education initiative supported by Indiana Wesleyan University National & Global. As Director of AI Literacy & Outreach, he helped transition the organization from a coding bootcamp to Indiana’s leading nonprofit for AI training. Blaizing Academy provides AI literacy programs for high school students (10th grade and up), professionals, and executives.[5]
Painter also helped launch the Hoosier AI 1,0000 initiative, a program aimed at certifying 1,000 Indiana residents in AI. The project has been featured on local television for its work in workforce development and inclusion.[6][7]
LaunchReady.ai
[edit]In May 2025, Painter founded LaunchReady.ai, a consultancy that provides hands-on AI training and executive workshops for organizations across the Midwest. The company specializes in helping marketing and sales teams integrate generative AI into real-world workflows.[8]
Publications
[edit]Painter is the author of AI for Small Business: A Roadmap to Innovation, published in 2023. The book provides a non-technical, step-by-step guide for small business owners and entrepreneurs to integrate AI into their operations. It features a foreword by tech entrepreneur Jay Samit.
