SP Robotic Works Pvt. Ltd.(SPRW) is an EdTech startup imparting robotics education to students of age 10-17 years. Ever since its inception in the year 2012, the company has been involved in promoting the knowledge of robotics among the student community. To this end, SPRW set up India’s first Robotics education institution for school students at its current headquarters in KK Nagar Chennai. The institution was set up under the brand name “Kidobotikz”. The Kidobotikz robotics school catered to students joining its courses to undergo training in the fields of robotics, electronics, mechanics and programming.

After four years of classroom based training, the company has decided to take its offering of “Robotics training for School Students” to a pan-India and global level. This, the company has planned to achieve by digitizing its classroom courseware. In March 2016, after a successful investment round, the company set out to turn its courseware into an online platform-based model. The platform which has been offered along with its proprietary robotics kits has been optimised for learning. With an age neutral approach, the platform consists of learning content which can be used by students aged 11+ to learn their courses in robotics, through specially animated video lectures.

The learning platform enables students to learn robotics courses from their as the entire courseware has been converted into piecemeal lessons which, the company believes facilitates easier understanding.

The company also designs, develops and delivers the robotic kits which match the learning content on the courseware. This, the company believes, enables students to learn engineering concepts rather than just engaging in play through plug and play models.

After deciding to go “digital” in its courseware offering, Kidobotikz held its first investment round which saw it receive angel funding from two prominent Angel Investors in the country- The Chennai Angels (TCA) and The Indian Angel Network (IAN). The company raised an investment to the tune of Rs. 2,00,00,000.

Ms.Sneha Priya, CEO and Co-Founder, Kidobotikz was accorded "Youth Startup Founder of the Year" at World Startup Expo 2016.
The students belonging to the Kidobotikz community set a World Record. 103 School Students of Kidobotikz assembled their own robots individually within 32 minutes and 16 seconds and rallied all the 103 robots at the Besant Nagar Beach, Chennai. This record was attested by Assist World Records.
