Demetrius George Metaxas 1906 G.C.V.O., was a Greek diplomat.
Life
[edit]- In 1878 he was secretary of the Congress of Berlin.
- On 25 June, 1880 and 1 July, 1880 he was secretary during the negotiations at Prevesa for delimiting the new Greco-Turkish frontiers.
- 1890 Chargé d'affaires of the Greek Ambassador to Germany Berlin.
- In 1892 he was Chargé d'affaires Greek Ambassador to Serbia in Belgrade.
- From 1895 to 1908 he was Ambassador to the Court of St James in London.
and later in Rome twice until 1922.
- In 1906 Edward VII confered on him the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.
