Giovanni Annesi

Giovanni Annesi is a student-athlete at New Milford Pennsylvania Blue Ridge High School. He's currently a sophomore in the class of 2027. He also participates as a varsity wrestler as well as being on the track and cross country team. Giovanni wrestled for the weight classes of 116, 121, and 127 pounds for the 2024–2025 season. His overall record for the season was 17–12, one of his most highlighted victories being double sets of pins versus Anthony Kissolovege of Valley View and Luke Diegnan of Scranton Prep.

Giovanni's performance at Lackawanna League Championships, 21 Dec 2024, was a testament to his never-say-die attitude. He pinned Anthony Kissolovege and later wrestled against Drew Leonori (Scranton), in which he lost through technical fall. He came 6th in the 127-pound weight class in the District 2-AAA tournament.

In addition to wrestling, Giovanni falls under the Blue Ridge School District which serves Great Bend, Hallstead, and New Milford towns of Susquehanna County. The district is highly renowned for being committed to giving their students an all-rounded education, with many academic and co-curricular activities through which the students can engage in an effort to mold them.

Academics

In addition to being a student-athlete, Giovanni is an integral part of Blue Ridge High School's extra-academic and academic life. Blue Ridge High School has various clubs and activities like National Honor Society, Student Council, Leo Club, and Middle School and High School Yearbook. Gio is involved in Student Council, Leo Club, Chess Club, and also is his class Secretary.
