Wow. Been a while.

Misciez to-do&z

[edit]
  • Gotta make <br /> the default for less confusion in my-standard wp highlighting. The standard-standard highlighting is ST00PID cuz it only highlights the text & does not protext (hehtypo) the typeface I wants.
  • or something.
  • Why the bar of the st00pid "long vowel" bar slides offa vowels on my Chrome for Window.
  • VENGEANCE for ALT-SHIFT-V!!! It is STILL in the tooltip for Show Changes!!! The RODENT-IMPAIRED wanna know WHY and HOW and FIX IT!!!
  • Wikipedia:Welcoming committee/Welcome templates
  • Sino-Xenic or Sinoxenic? & @WT?

What is a barray (village court?) for en.WT

Rdcheck and WP left sidebar Tools

[edit]

Found broken section links in 2 shortcut redirect pages through the external Rdcheck tool — on the page you want to check, beneath the Wikipedia logo on the left-hand sidebar under Tools, click What links here, then click the link in the line, "External tools: Show redirects only" — changed: Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Words to watch#Easily confusable termsWikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch#Easily confused terms

Template & /doc pages

[edit]

To use this template as an example of the relationship between a main template page and its documentation subpage:

Note that the categories should be placed in the <includeonly>...</includeonly> tags in the /doc subpage and, when saved, will appear in the expected area at the bottom of the template page.

Disambig See also templates (in process of asking for template revision so it's not so complicated)

[edit]

* {{Look from|Part|NAMESPACE|All pages with titles beginning with ''Part''}}
* {{In title|Part|All pages with titles containing ''Part''}}

==See also== * Template:Look from * Template:In title
==See also== * Template:Look from * Template:In title, &c. To search for the entire title except "(disambiguation)", added the parameter |"Part" to the templates

New section for Template talk:Term: Where in the term's area the anchor links to

The section Template:Term § Linking to the term discusses how to create one or more anchors when using {{term}} in a glossary, and helpfully compares it to older methods. However, when following a link on Cheating in video games § Cheat codes to Glossary of video game terms § God mode, the visible page top lands underneath the term and not above it.

god mode

Also: infinite health, infinite life, invincibility, invulnerability

A [definition].

}} It is rendered (← BTW, does this term really just refer to graphics and is there a better one?) on the saved page as: god mode Also: infinite health, infinite life, invincibility, invulnerability A [definition].

[edit]

Modifications to draw the audience's eye:

  • letter-level
  • word-level
  • sentence-level
  • paragraph-level (vs. quotes vs. pull quotes!)
  • paragraphs-level
  • section-level
  • article-level page-level (pages include: articles, talk, redirect, disambiguation (surname disambig?), etc. Some cross-over with namespaces?)
  • topic-level?
  • category-level
  • portal/project-level
  • importance-level
  • class-level (stub &c.)
  • namespace-level
  • technology-subset-level? (templates, preferences, bots, automatic editors...)
  • WP project-level
  • WMedia project-level
  • language-level (language-cross-section?)
[edit]

The template's documentation could also use some improvement. Compare & contrast it with other template documentation's headers and layout, then rework it so the audience can find what it expects where it expects it to be. (For example, the section in Template:Nihongo that's called Syntax is actually formatting resulting from one parameter of syntax changed.)

Nansō Satomi Hakkenden (Kyūjitai: 南總里見八犬傳, Shinjitai: 南総里見八犬伝)

  • My modifications to test different uses of multiple parameters:

Putting both kanji into one parameter results in both wikilinked labels in the same font, which was not true in the original and is what caught my eye:

Nansō Satomi Hakkenden (Kyūjitai: 南總里見八犬傳; Shinjitai: 南総里見八犬伝)
Nansō Satomi Hakkenden ([(in kyūjitai) 南總里見八犬傳; (in shinjitai) 南総里見八犬伝] Error: {{nihongo}}: text has italic markup (help)) (lead=yes)
Nansō Satomi Hakkenden ([(in kyūjitai) 南總里見八犬傳; (in shinjitai) 南総里見八犬伝] Error: {{nihongo}}: text has italic markup (help), the older and modern kanji character forms, respectively) (lead=yes, extra=)

Other(?)

[edit]

Nansō Satomi Hakkenden ([南總里見八犬傳 kyūjitai] Error: {{nihongo}}: text has italic markup (help), Hepburn: [南総里見八犬伝] Error: {{nihongo}}: transliteration text not Latin script (pos 1: 南) (help), shinjitai)

(南総里見八犬伝, shinjitai)
