Option 1

[edit]
Article title: List of Sex Worker Organizations
Article Evaluation: It is missing La Cebolla, which is a newspaper that advocated for sex worker rights during the 19th century in Havana, Cuba.
Sources
“Latin American and Caribbean Sex Workers: Gains and challenges in the movement” by Amalia Cabezas.
“Prostitution in Havana,” by Amalia Cabezas, overviews the history of prostitution in Havana, Cuba, and briefly the history of La Cebolla.

Option 2

[edit]
Article title: Sex Worker Rights, under Latin America and the Caribbean
Article Evaluation: The article briefly mentions La Ceboola, but it does not go into the depth of how they advocated for the rights of sex workers. I would like to add more information how La Cebolla was a precursor for other sex worker movements in Latin America

Option 3

[edit]
Article title: Prostitution in Cuba
Article Evaluation: The article is talking about prostitution in Cuba yet it does not mention Las Horizontales, which were sex workers that were influential in advocating for sex worker rights and defied the government’s regulations about mandatory hygienic checkups.
Sources
“Prostitution in Havana,” by Amalia Cabezas, overviews the history of prostitution in Havana, Cuba, and briefly the history of La Cebolla.
Beers, M. (2003). Murder in San Isidro: Crime and Culture during the Second Cuban Republic.

Option 4

[edit]
Article title: Decriminalization of Sex Work
Article Evaluation: The page overviews a lot of work done to decriminalize sex work in European countries, but it does not mention much on Latin America and the Caribbean. I would like to add some sex worker movements that are working towards that in Latin America.

Option 5

[edit]
Article title: Cuba, under the Tourism section.
Article Evaluation: This page does not really talk about the sex work and sex toursim. I would like to add how prostitution is still prominent in modern Cuba, and sex work is still very much entangled in tourism and the economy of the country, yet sex workers are ignored and deemed as disposable beings.
