Karen Herdis Callisen (5th April 1882 - 17th January 1970) was the first female professional Danish geologist.

In the early 1930's she completed extensive field work and published a detailed overview of the Bornholm bedrock. She was known for her study of cryolite deposits in Ivittuut, Greenland.[1]
