Manfred Benecken, Author of the History of "The Flaming Stars" and "The Devils", German Rock'n Roll Bands from the 1960s

Manfred grew up in Velbert. He started playing in local Bands in 1963. He played professionally with the Devils 1965 in Germany. Among many venues were the famous "Star Clubs". From 1966 Manfred played with The Flaming Stars mainly in Nord Rhein Westfalen.

Manfred immigrated into the USA and became an American Citizen.

From 2008 to 2010 he played in two Bands in Colorado : Groovin'on and The Bucktones.

In 2009 he started to plan a re-union with musicians from The Devils, The Flaming Stars and Ted und Die Fremden.

He organized 6 Concerts in the town of Saulheim and Velbert.

In 2012, Manfred re-located from Colorado to Phoenix Arizona.
