Edward C. Tracy (also known as Ed Tracy) is a public relations and television personality based in Chicago, IL.[1] He was also formerly the CEO of Pritzker Military Museum and Library and has worked in “public relations and fundraising”.[2]
Early Life
[edit]Tracy is from Northfield, Vermont and attended the University of Vermont to study theatre and communication.[3]
Career
[edit]In 1979, he began working in the general licensing division of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). From 1981 to 1987, he moved to New York City, in ASCAP’s radio licensing division.[4]
Norwich University
[edit]In 1989, Tracy returned to Vermont to work in Norwich University’s Advancement Office and helped the university with several capital campaigns.[5]
He 1996, Tracy co-founded the William E. Colby Military Writers' Symposium which draws military authors on topics from "military fiction to cybersecurity to the aircraft of the U.S. Civil War"[6] along with Ambassador William E. Colby and authors W.E. B. Griffin and Carlo D'Este.[7] The symposium holds events National Press Club in Washington, DC and awards the annual Colby Award.
Tawani Foundation
[edit]In 2002, Tracy moved to Chicago, where he began serving as Executive Director of the Tawani Foundation.[8] He hosted Pritzker Military Presents interviews with recipients of the Medal of Honor
In addition, Tracy is President of Chicago-based Roxbury Road Creative LLC.
Awards
[edit]In ----, Tracy co-hosted the Medal of Honor Convention Opening Ceremony at Soldier Field, coverage for which he won an Emmy.[9]
Personal Life
[edit]His wife, Denise McGowan Tracy works in event management at DMT Entertainment. [10]
