Alvaro Dias Huizar
[edit]Alvaro Dias Huizar (born July 28, 1979) is a Mexican (mother) Venezuelan (father and born) attorney[2] and legal scholar of comparative law and international private law for the University of Nantes[3] and the University of Southampton[4][5]. In 2010 he take part of the cycle "Humaniser la Globalisation" in the College de France.
Chess player
[edit]As a chess player is a FIDE master, he learned to play at the age of five in Mexico city and very young he defeated in a simultaneous exhibition the Argentinian Grand Master Julio Bolbochan. After his high school in Venezuela, he returned to Mexico winning several local tournaments during his college studies [1]. First national master from Zacatecas, he participated in Venezuelan experts and masters 2000, Mexican Masters Championship 2001, Capelle la Grande 2006, Open Rhode 2008, 2009. He won the fast chess "Open blitz Paris" at 368 club in December 2006; he tied for 1st in the second festival "Open d'echecs en Touraine, France 2009"[6]. In despite the fact that he never play formal chess, in his first and best valoration, Dias has an Elo rating of 2350, ranking him 2924th in the world and 3rd in Venezuela.
