Laura Hitchen

Born Laura Michelle Hitchen in October 1988 in Wythenshawe General Hospital in Manchester but has lived her whole life in Sale, Greater Manchester in South Manchester.

Began Karate at the age of 7 at a local club and soon progressed to a higher level of karate.

Currently trains for the SSU Northern Regional England Squad and has won numerous competitions both individually and for her club and country.

In November 2005 she became the SSU World Champion in the female under 17 under 57kg category at the world championships held in france.
