-show classes use CSS to make content visible only to editors belonging to a specified user group. For example, a warning message might be shown only to users who aren't autoconfirmed. You can learn more about them at Help:-show classes. Because of the way the sysop right works, admins experience some additional complications with these classes: for example, nonextendedconfirmed-show can show a message to users who aren't extended-confirmed, but because admins aren't part of the separate extended-confirmed group, they see these messages too. Building on recent discussion here and older discussion here, this RfC offers several proposals:

  • Option 1: Enable the nonsysop-show class (Extraordinary Writ's proposal)
