Eckert's Farm is one of the biggest privately owned orchard in the United States. Starting off as a shack on the side of the road, Eckert's Farm has greatly grown, with now multiple locations. Eckert's has been a source of pick-your-own products for a century, and has not stopped growing.[1]
Locations
[edit]Eckert's farm includes multiple location, three of which are in Illinois[1],[2][3] and one in Kentucky[4]The three farms in Illinois are in the following cities: Belleville, Millstadt, and Grafton. The one in Kentucky is in Versailles. The Belleville farm has existed from 1910 to present.[5]The Millstadt farm has existed from 1968 to present.[6]The Grafton farm has existed from 1837 from present.[7]The Versailles farm has existed for over 150 years[8]
Fun
[edit]While also being a place of profit from harvest, Eckert's makes a large amount of money from entertainment such as there pick-your-own fruit to hay rides.[9]
