The Wikimedians of Los Angeles User Group (WikiLA) organizes gatherings across the Greater Los Angeles region to socialize, discuss Wikipedia-related topics, and exchange knowledge and experiences from the universe that is Wikipedia. Events like edit-a-thons and workshops bring people together to edit Wikipedia in a shared space, often with a focus on improving coverage related to certain topics. These events almost always offer training and support for new editors.

Anyone can join WikiLA, and anyone can organize an event. If you are new to Wikipedia and want a little help getting started, consider joining us at a local event!
