History

[edit]

Early History

[edit]

Invoxia was founded in 2010 by Éric Careel, Serge Renouard (former General Manager of Connected Devices R&D at Philips) and Jacques Lewiner. Prior to this, Éric Careel and Jacques Lewiner had founded Inventel (2002), later acquired by Thomson.[10][11]

In January 2013, Invoxia closed its first funding round, raising 1.5€ million led by Newfund.[12]

Later in 2013, Invoxia announced the acquisition of the Swiss telecommunications technology provider Swissvoice. Both brandnames would be maintained separate. [13]

In October 2015, the company closed its second funding round of an undisclosed amount from several investors including Amazon.[14]
