I like editing film-related articles, and end up removing a lot of goofy and cringey film flourishes. These mimic the cloying and nauseating old-timey affectations still used by some sources, and in some cases seem to be added expressly to increase the word count. They include "from a screenplay by", "written for the screen by", "helm", "penned", and "scribe". If you're someone who writes crap like this, please stop.
